Hello! Welcome to the Frankfort Flag Initiative. We seek to develop and present for adoption a reimagined design for the flag of the city of Frankfort, Kentucky which is both distinctive and representative of the community while also adhering to flag design guidelines which will allow the broad adoption of this new design.
This is the first in a series of posts aimed at spreading information regarding Frankfort, the current Frankfort flag, our initiative aimed at its redesign, and vexillology (the study of flags) in general. We hope you enjoy! In the meantime please find below some additional information.
We are currently seeking applicants for our seven-person design group. A background in the arts, graphic design, or history is preferable but we welcome any applicants who have an interest and reside in Franklin County, Kentucky.
