Submitters must live within the borders of Franklin County, KY (which includes Frankfort) or must be able to demonstrate a clear and concrete connection to the city. The Frankfort Flag Initiative committee reserves the sole right to judge and determine the eligibility of any participant. Entries will be accepted from March 15 through May 4.

MISSION STATEMENT

We seek to develop and present for adoption a reimagined design for the flag of the city of Frankfort, Kentucky which is both distinctive and representative of the community while also adhering to flag design guidelines which will allow the broad adoption of this new design.

ZERO TAX DOLLARS

This initiative is utilizing ZERO taxpayer dollars. We are 100% citizen-led and not under the control of the city or county governments. We are fortunate to be partnered with the non-profit Capital City Museum board of directors. As our sponsor they are acting as our fiduciary partner. All donations are tax deductible. Any donated money not spent directly on the Frankfort Flag Initiative will automatically revert to the Capital City Museum fund. Please help us cover the costs of document printing, advertising, and flag production.
